Our story
Founded in 2015, Kuroneko Media is now one of the leading French Label and Artist Services companies. We provide a complete support to independent labels, offering them tailor-made solutions adapted to their challenges.
It was born from the experience of several music industry professionals who, along with their knowledge of the issues faced daily by independant record labels, decided to create a company capable of meeting all of their needs.
At Kuroneko, our entrepreneurial spirit is driven by innovation and responsiveness. Every day, we reinvent our business while keeping people at the center of our priorities. Building lasting and transparent relationships with our partners is our driving force.
Kuroneko in a few dates

2015 : Creation of Kuroneko Media, label services dedicated to independent labels.

2017 : Launch of Chat Noir Distribution, a branch dedicated to the distribution of niche electronic music.

2019 : Creation of Kuroneko Phonogram Manufacture, our own CD and vinyl pressing factory.

2020 : Takeover of the WMFONO factory, in collaboration with several partners in the sector.

2021 : Acquisition of the pioneer French independent distributor DIFFER-ANT, strengthening our presence in the national music landscape.

2022 : Acquisition of the German distributor KMA60, which gives its name to our electronic music branch, with Chat Noir as its flagship in-house label.

2025 : Kuroneko celebrates its 10th anniversary and signs a strategic digital logistics agreement with the Virgin Music Group.
